Before and After

The double doors to this two car garage were originally built on the west wall of the structure. Rather than entering the garage directly from the alley, the original owners used the west section of the large yard as a driveway. The Atens rehabilitated this structure, which had lost its usefulness as a garage, by reorienting the building. This affords you the best of both the Wallaces' and the Atens' worlds: A rare 1930s two car garage, updated with an electric garage door opener and polished concrete floor. And, the whole of the back yard is given back to your living spaces. Large enough for you to make your own contribution, perhaps with a pool?
