Current Condition
During the restoration of the house, 51 windows, counting the French doors, were stripped, treated for termite damage, filled and painted, and the nickel hardware was brought back to its original luster. The bottom panes of one of the living room windows, however, had been damaged so badly by the window-unit air conditioner that a new window had to be custom built for the living room. The upper portion of that living room window, however, was salvageable. Here you see it restored and installed in an opening custom fitted to display the original window, which now overlooks the back patio.
